H.Amdt.230 to H.R.2670 FY24 NDAA Amendment — Defund B83-1 Nuclear Gravity Bomb

Prohibits funds for sustainment of the B83-1 nuclear gravity bomb under the FY24 National Defense Authorization Act. The Department of Defense's 2022 Nuclear Posture Review (October 27, 2022) formally declared that the B83-1 'will be retired.' The amendment aligns appropriations with established DoD policy and supports U.S. obligations under Article VI of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
